Dr. Aaron D. Ludlow
- Field of activity
-
- My main research interests are in theoretical astrophysics and cosmology, and target various aspects of structure formation. Most of my work uses large-scale high-resolution simulations, which I supplement with analytic models to better understand the growth of galaxies and their relationship to dark matter halos.
- Role in the SFB
-
- I collaborate with members of SFB 956 on projects related to modelling molecular hydrogen in the interstellar medium of simulated galaxies. Together, we have developed a fully dynamic subgrid model for the formation and destruction of molecular hydrogen and have implemented it into the RAMSES code; this code is being used to simulate the H2 content of galaxies in a fully cosmological context.
