Field of activity

• Observational study of the ISM. Especially focused on the infrared and submillimeter observations of the ISM in our galaxy and nearby galaxies.

Role in the SFB

• I am involved in the observational parts of the Milky Way (A4 'The Phases of the Insterstellar Medium: Large Scale Observations of the Milky Way') and nearby galaxies (A3 'The interstellar medium and star formation in nearby galaxies') and the modelling project (C1 'Modelling of Irradiated Molecular Clouds').
• I am working on bridging these fields through the application of the model to the observations.
